We’re looking for dancers and musicians! Learn Filipino folk dance, or how to play traditional music, and perform with our dance troupe at private events and festivals!
Not only do we prioritize cultural education, but we find that it’s best shared through dance and performance. Throughout the year, we have many performance opportunities available for our Performing Artists! These can include festivals, local tours and private events. Past examples include Taste of Manila, the Canadian National Exhibition, the Asian Night Market at STACKT and much more! As performance opportunities become available, casting calls are sent out to our roster of PAs, who perform on a volunteer basis.
Throughout the year, our dance troupe learns and builds upon the fundamentals of Philippine folk dance and music, eventually leading up to the moments we share on stage. Together, we learn how to tell stories through movement, understand the technicalities of theatre and stage presence.
